LASIK FOR FARSIGHTEDNESS

It is believed that lasik surgery is good for nearsighted. If you are wearing lenses whether you are farsighted or nearsighted then you are eligible for lasik eye surgery.

First you should know the difference between farsighted or nearsighted. Nearsightedness means that you can focus on things that are near or close to you and in farsightedness you can focus on things that are farther away from you. Lasik surgery can be done in both conditions. In some cases of farsightedness lasik eye surgery will not be able to help a person.

Lasik eye surgery may be difficult in the case of farsightedness but due to advanced technology the lasers are calibrated differently for each eye and each condition. The laser reshape the eye and helps to refocus the light directly to the retina of each eye and you can focus on things right in front of you. Lasik surgery can be done for farsighted and it can enable them to see the world in a new way.

LASIK is now prefered by people to correct their eyesight problems. Recently the lasik  report showed that it had not performed well in farsightedness correction but it does not mean that LASIK is not useful in farsightedness correction. With the advancement in technology monocular vision correction of LASIK is able to help patients that suffer from farsightedness. Mono means that surgery will be performed on one eye only.

The two eyes help each other to get a clear vision both near and far. Before the surgery you should examine your eyes and see which one of the eyes is more suitable for correction and which is for distance viewing. The vision of one eye corrected, one eye aims at focusing on close up objects while the other one focuses on far away objects so lasik eye surgery is not advised for those who feel difficultly in seeing far objects. If the surgery is done before time as your eye condition get changed, you may feel hard to see distant objects once again, and then another surgery is needed.

You can undergo surgery when your eye condition is stabilized but it may change with age therefore lifetime repeat procedures are provided in many hospitals and clinics. For the first time you have to pay some extra fee for the monocular LASIK eye surgery and can repeat the lasik process by paying no extra cost so it is a good option for middle aged people. After the surgery, the two eyes have to focus differently is uncomfortable for people in the beginning but one or two weeks after it will become easy for them.
